An important step on the Way2Go is to determine your eligibility for financial aid. Work with your family to take these steps:
ONE: Visit FAFSA4caster to explore your financial aid options and get an early start on the process of applying for Federal Student Aid.
TWO: With your family, visit Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and apply for federal financial aid.
THREE: Visit State of Maryland Financial Aid Programs to determine if you qualify for state financial aid programs as a Maryland resident.
FOUR: USM universities can offer you advice and assistance in your application for financial aid. Contact USM Financial Aid Offices if you need help or have questions.
With these resources and the help of your high school guidance counselors, you and your family should be able to identify sources of financial aid in the forms of grants and loans for which you qualify.
