The basic college application requires that you gather and provide the following information to college admissions offices before the deadlines that they have established:

• Application Form
• Application Fee
• High School Record (Transcript)
• Standardized Test Scores (SAT or ACT)
• Essay
• Letters of Recommendation

Required application materials and deadlines vary college to college, so it is best to check with the admissions offices of the colleges that interest you.

To make the college application process a bit easier, USM utilizes a Common Application that can be used if you are applying to one or more of our universities.

Otherwise, you may apply directly through the admissions offices of our individual universities.
